$160 for a 50-minute individual counseling session.

EMDR therapy is generally included in the cost for therapy, as it may or may not be entirely separate from talk therapy. In my practice, that means EMDR therapy costs $160 for a 50-minute individual counseling session.

I offer single session assessments for gender affirming care letters, and charge my normal rate of $160 for a 50-minute session. We will collaboratively complete the assessment in one session and the letter will be sent to you afterwards. I follow the WPATH Standards of Care in my assessment and letter writing, though I personally practice from an informed consent model and believe that trans people should be able to access the care they need without assessment from a mental health professional.
-
I offer free 20-minute consultations for new clients so you can get a sense of whether you’d like to work together.

Currently, all of my sliding scale and Open Path Collective spots are full. If you are interested in services but need a lower fee option, you can contact me to get on my wait list for sliding scale spots. Unfortunately, at this time the wait list for sliding scale spots is quite long, so I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. I remain dedicated to offering accessible therapy and will update this page with more information as it becomes available.

Yes. If you no-show or cancel within 24 hours of our appointment time, I charge the full fee for the session (whether that’s $160 or some other fee we decide). If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, you will not be charged.

I do not accept any insurance at this time, but am able to offer a superbill for insurance reimbursement. This means it may be possible to bill your insurance with me as an out-of-network provider. You can check with your insurance provider on their out-of-network rates, and I would be happy to work with you to get this process started.
-
A superbill is a summary of all the healthcare services you have received. The process we would follow is:
You see me for an individual therapy session
After the session, you pay the fee
I create a superbill, including information about your session, your diagnosis, treatment plan, and the amount you paid, and send that to you.
You submit the superbill to your insurance company.
If your insurance company decides to cover services, they reimburse you.
Please note that if you wish to work with insurance, a diagnosis is required and the number of sessions you have will be determined by your insurance.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency service, including therapy. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good FaithEstimate, you can dispute the bill.
