Frequently Asked Questions

Are counseling sessions in person or online?

Both! I offer telehealth services throughout Wisconsin, and I offer in-person counseling in Madison, WI Tuesday - Friday. Learn more about my office space.

What is a session with you like?

That depends! Each person is unique, and is looking for different things. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and experiences, so you and I will collaborate to create the treatment plan that is right for you. I care most about making sure you feel heard and held throughout the therapy process.

Previous clients have shared that my presence in-session is warm and grounded, thoughtful, and sometimes a bit goofy!

Where are you located?

I am located in Madison, Wisconsin. I offer virtual therapy for all of Wisconsin, and in-person counseling in Madison, WI.

What is your availability?

I’m generally available Tuesday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. To find more about my specific availability right now, please reach out.

Do you offer assessment letters for gender affirming care/emotional support animals/disability accommodations?

Yes. For folks seeking a letter from a mental health professional in order to receive gender affirming hormones or surgery, I do offer single session assessments. I practice from an informed consent model, so I do not believe that trans people (or any people) should have to get a mental health assessment in order to receive healthcare that may be medically necessary or that they are capable of consenting to. However, many organizations still require a letter in order to move forward with gender affirming care, and so I will continue to offer this service.

For all other assessment letters, including emotional support animals (ESAs) and disability accommodations, I do require that you be a currently established client with me. I do not offer single session assessments for ESAs or disability accommodations, but am happy to provide these to current clients as we deem necessary.
